I love the summer. Long, lazy afternoons in the park, eating out in the evenings with a lovely cold glass of rose, weekends spent at the seaside… but I’m also really glad it’s now officially over. Autumn for me means lovely walks with my dog in the park and in the woods among crisp leaves and a brisk wind, all wrapped up in my long woollen coat and scarf with a sturdy pair of boots, watching my dog chase the dancing leaves. Last month, my beautiful big sister got married (that’s them as they were pronounced husband and wife… and that’s me in pink looking a bit emotional!). It was the culmination of a lot of very hard work. She had been pregnant with my niece when her partner proposed. They had a bit of a tricky pregnancy, so dealt with that alongside usual wedding stress. She also changed careers AND moved house, so it’s been a bit of a stressful time to say the least. They also (and this is, I think, totally bonkers!) went for the growing-in-popularity ‘DIY’..
